The City of Life: Lahore
Lahore is a wild city, full of life, love, and energy. These aspects of Lahore make it a magical place, you can expect anything to come true here, and it’s almost like a fairy tale, full of endless possibilities and experiences. Many call it the “heart” of Pakistan which, if you ask me, is the perfect elucidation for it.
Lahore, the “Heart” of Pakistan
Lahore speaks for itself, without a doubt. Places like the Lahore fort, Badshahi Masjid and the Mall Road hold so much history within them; from the Mughal Empire to the British era to the struggle for independence, Lahore is the epitome of history. The city served the Mughals and the Sikhs and also was the first city to offer refuge to the unprecedented amount of immigrants who came to Pakistan after partition in 1947. The city was where the movement for Pakistan started and that, if you ask me, on its own is enough to give Lahore the title of “The Heart of Pakistan” Lahore speaks for itself, without a doubt.

Minar-e-Pakistan – The Lahore Resolution
The Minar-e-Pakistan is just a small representation of how hard the struggle for Pakistan really was. The value of Lahore lies in the fact that the resolution marking the beginning of the struggle towards Pakistan was called the Lahore Resolution.
Mixed with a spice of culture and the modern luxuries of life, Lahore feels like an extravaganza of an urban cultural boulevard. If you ever want to learn the raw Punjabi culture of Pakistan, Lahore is the place to go to. The people wear their cultural dresses and speak their language with such pride and joy. They make absolutely world class music, including Sufism and Punjabi folk. The local values that the locals have embraced serve their reputation very well.
The traditional food of Lahore adds to its glory. The auras of barbeque consume Lahore and quench the embers of hunger throughout. The food street is a hub for food lovers with every single traditional food you can imagine, available and also is known to be a very popular place for tourists to visit. Food is something that makes Lahore even more interesting, it does every single cuisine, either local or international, justice without a doubt! Lahore serves as the home to, literally, the best Pakistani foods.
Androon Shehr (walled city), as it is known locally, is the oldest commercial part of Lahore. Full of the most original and unique place not just in Pakistan but in the world! Androon Shehr is home to the most delicious Lahori breakfast ever. The sweets and bakeries there are as old as a hundred years and still, somehow, they have managed to stay loyal to their original recipes, values, and taste. The architecture of Androon Shehr gives a vibe that you will never feel anywhere else. If you ask me, Androon shehr is the 8th wonder of the world!
The music, the food, the history, the culture make Lahore the true city of life. The fact is that Lahore brings together people, acts like a binding force giving rise to true eternal love. Lahore gives a person the values he needs in life, it grooms a person. Lahore is the true art of belief.
