Summer Camp Experiences
After a long year of waiting and waiting, summer vacations finally began. I knew I was going to have fun this break, but how? I thought of activities I could do at home, but everything seemed boring. So, my mom offered me to join a summer camp. I had to enjoy my vacations so, I agreed!
I picked up art, survival, and music for the camp. The first week was Art Week. I learned stamp art, glass painting, making abstract art, and fixing my ruined work. I also made two amazing friends, Hana and Nelly. I always thought that art was a skill only some people were born with, but at the camp, I learned it is a practiced skill. Then week two started. We were going to learn Survival. We began by making tents out of sheets and sticks. It was tricky but fun at the same time. We also learned how to give CPR, call out for help when
in trouble, and start a fire without matchsticks. How cool was that! Finally, the last week began. I had been waiting for music, anxiously. We learned the basics of playing piano. It was really fun. We also improved vocals for singing and wrote songs, which was the best part. I pictured myself as Taylor Swift in the camp.
On the last day we were awarded with certificates of achievements. I got six certificates. I think had the most wonderful expeirences this summer. I will certainly join a summer camp next year too, but with different subjects…we will see!
