A trip to Lower Topa | Best Possible Winter Treat for Students
This winter The Millennium Education Piccadilly Campus treated its student with a wonderful end of term gift. A trip to ‘Lower Topa’ was arranged after the 1st term exams to give students the best possible winter treat.
Flashback to the start of the day, when kids and teachers squeezed in the booked coaches. There was murmuring amongst the kids, mostly about what kind of place it would be, or what they would pack, or in which groups they would sit, and stuff. Once the day came, their faces were impatient, even over the masks hiding their face.
The school speaker accompanied, with its melodious songs and skilful tunes. Kids were astounded by the fine vision of what lay right before their bare eyes. An appealing mountainous view, with fields of trees, expanded the mindset. The soft and classy music tinkled in the ears, with every passing moment of the wait.
“You have arrived at your destination!” clanged in their tiny heads. Kids had to get organized, and after exiting the coaches, and entering the ‘Officer’s Mess’, kids exclaimed sighs of pleasure! It was nice, and spacious, with a well-laid garden and sitting area with a scenic view of the valley. There were garden chairs laid out with some gap between every four chairs and a table, occupied by a group of friends and one by the teachers. It was an amazing experience! First and foremost, some piping hot tea and mixed pakoras were presented. Later, they served hot and flavoursome soup. It just sent the cold away.
Next up, was zip-lining, and rock-climbing, which was THE most breathtaking experience. It was a downhill hike which the kids enjoyed. Going down the slope, kids started chittering like birds, till they finally came to a stop. There was a huge staircase, on which was attached a sturdy rope, for the zip-line. Attached from the ground to the starting of the line to the end of it, and again into the sturdy ground. When hanging, you must be approximately 35 feet from off the ground. All interested kids got ready, including the teachers and our principal.
After the activities, the excited kids picked up their small backpacks and swung them on. They set to hike up back towards their spot. Where a Spicy, aromatic, and right on time, biryani was served inside the Mess, followed by a sugary dessert of Pineapple Trifle.
Finally, there was a photoshoot session all stood and sat in accordance to fit in one frame.
Going back didn’t seem as long as coming here did. So the journey was short. Getting off the coaches, they said goodbyes, with tight hugs and meaningful words. And finally sat off…to a two-week separation from those joyful souls.
