International Peace Day at Regents Park Campus, RMS 2021
We celebrated International Peace Day at our school today. Our teachers explained to us the history and importance of this day. After that, we gathered in the lawn of our school holding posters and placards highlighting equality and sustainability. Since world peace is important for our future, we should contribute to it by raising our voices against violence, war, and fight. Also, we should help those affected by war and help war refugees. Wars waste lots of resources, which can be used for the betterment of humanity and the sustainable future of the world.
The school boards depicted the theme of peace, equality and sustainability. We also formed a human chain of peace in the ground of our campus to deliver our message to the world. We are promoters of peace and will always.
World peace day is celebrated to promote harmony for building a peaceful and sustainable world. This is a day of non-violence and cease-fire. It was established by United Nations (UN) in 1981 and is observed on 21 September every year. This year’s theme for world peace day is “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”.
