‘Anti-Bullying Campaign’ successfully run throughout One World!
In the second week of March, 2019, our absolutely enthusiastic IB MYP students presented a CAS project themed around a very significant dilemma which affects us all unanimously and indiscriminately, young kids and adults alike: “Bullying”
The MYP students keenly organized an anti-bullying campaign on campus so as to meaningfully and healthily tackle the contentious dilemma. This was primarily attained through engaging the budding minds of the primary students, aged 4-10, by casually engaging the kids in a meaningful and informative dialogue regarding bullying, its consequences and the preventive and healthy measures, so that a healthy bond can be fostered within the student body, making for a safe space to create awareness regarding bullying and its affects. The students also showcased the theme through brief role-plays and skits in each class.
At the core of this initiative lie the notions of empathy, compassion, unity and above all, mentorship. These are the essential elements which this CAS project aimed to disseminate. The idea was to provide a platform where greater understanding and harmony between the senior and junior students can be promoted towards enlightenment pertaining to bullying and its lasting impacts.
