How am I Spending my Ramadan/Ramadan Celebrations at Home?
As this blessed month is upon us, many people have altered their routines. Being a student I can’t really afford to stay up all night and sleep after Sehri so I have made a schedule that suits me. I wake at 9: 00 a.m. and do my everyday chores in Ramadan, but there are some changes that I love.
Ramadan is a blessed month with lots of fun activities and stuff. In Ramadan, all Muslims above age 13 are supposed to fast during the day and say their daily prayers and I’m one of those Muslims.
I wake up at nine and take my online classes, after that I say my noon prayers and about 3ish, I read the Holy Quran.
After that, I spend some time playing video games with friends or go outside to have a taste of fresh air. Then, I start to make food and delicious desserts with my mum for Iftar. I like helping around the house with my mother as we don’t have any sisters and I believe boys should also help around the house when needed. We do Iftar at our family table. The whole day is full of fun activities with a little bit of tiredness but it’s all worth it.
The next day is all the same, but I love this one blessed month and I wait for it to come every year. And after every Ramadan we have our Eid-Ul-Fitr which is the most awesome festival ever. This festival just comes after Ramadan, and is a gift of Allah to all the Muslims after an entire month of fasting, and I love it.
