Road Trip Adventure
Travelling and outdoor adventure is something for me. That’s probably because my family takes road trips every summer. It’s kind of like our tradition. Thereby, this summer was also bringing travel with it. But, something struck us and we decided to make this trip different….. different from all the other we had ever had. The theme was “Man vs Wild That’s right, we were going camping!! It was like dream come true. Excitement engulfed me whole as I waited for Saturday arrive. The week kept going on and on forever. My dad booked the camping pods at Patriata, Murree.
Finally, saturday arrived. We had packed our car the previous night. So, after saying our morning prayer, we hopped in the car and began the adventure that had been waiting for us. Instead of going from the highway, the usual path, we took another route, a longer one, through the woods. That made the trip splendid as we were awestruck by the beauty of the nature.
We reached our destination by mid-day. That meant lunch time. We stopped at a resort and had a nice Lunch. Then we set off to explore around. I wanted to sit on the chairlift so my dad bought tickets for all of us. It was somewhat scary as the height kept increasing but I enjoyed flying with the birds. I could see everything from from up there; the mountain peaks, the tree tops, the roads, even the entire city. It was utterly splendid. Cable cars were next. They were better that the chair lifts. At last we were exhausted so we had dinner and went into our pods. They were cozy and warm. I liked it. The washroom looked funny. Me and my sisters were sharing a pod. We locked the door before we went to sleep. The night was wonderful. When I woke up next morning, it was muddy outside as it had rained last night. We had breakfast and then went shopping. After staying two nights, we packed up and began our return journey. Through the woods and over the mountains, it was long and tiring.
I slept through the rest of the day and the night to overcome the exhaustion. Next morning I was fresh but sad. I had experienced the memory of a lifetime and I wanted to go back in time to experience it again. Pehaps that can not happen right now but I can repeat next summer…. can’t I?
