Future World Schools, Lahore host the USEFP Education USA – South Asia Tour, 2019!
The Roots Millennium, Future World School Lahore, successfully hosted the USEFP’s Education USA South Asia Tour on Thursday February 14, 2019. Representatives of 32 universities from all across the United States participated in the event. Some of the prominent names were “The New York Film Academy,” “Drake University,” “University of Northern Iowa,” “Merrimack College,” and the list goes on.
There was a good mix of State Universities, Private Colleges, STEM Specific Institutes to major Liberal Arts Universities among the participating Institutions. Despite heavy downpour and thunderstorm on the day of the event, all participants made it to the venue where they were being awaited by enthusiastic students brimming with curiosity and queries. The weather did have its downside in the sense that our students from far flung areas of Lahore, and those expected from sister campuses (Gujranwala, Sialkot) could not travel, hence being unable to take advantage of the opportunity this year.
All the universities had their set up in the foyer area. The interactive event was attended by more than 100 A level students who eagerly discussed career pathways, program choices, and the application processes to their universities of interest. Having become true “Millennilals,” by now students asked pertinent questions regarding Scholarships, Financial Aid for International Students, and the Career Prospects open to them post-graduation. The university representatives were highly impressed by the level of awareness FWS students have in all these matters, which they owe to the vision of our CEO Chaudhary Faisal Mustaq (TI) and the Millennium Education System, where career counselling and college placement is part and parcel of the A Level Programme, unlike in any other institution.
