“My Message To You All Is Of Hope, Courage And Confidence.”

3

Studied and trained to win cases in courts as a lawyer but later in life, he took “winning” to a whole new level by putting a new country on the world map – Pakistan. This man was none other than the charismatic, the unfaltering and the tireless, Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Using his pen and speech, and his steadfastness on his path of independence for the Muslims of the subcontinent, Jinnah touched the hearts of millions. Jinnah’s personality was a pastiche of the key features of a dynamic leader, specifically the “personality and situation factor”, which walked him right into achieving his goal. Over a very short span of time, he gained popularity among the masses owing to his visionary approach and frame of reference.

If we look back and analyze the kind of power that Jinnah gave us in the semblance of an independent country, our gratitude would not be enough knowing how he fought to bring to us land to call our own when we, as a nation were in a fracas for the recognition of our identity. Those of us who were witness to the efforts it took to create an independent state must cognize this as a great gift. The Quaid stated, “Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim ideology which has to be preserved. Which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope others will share with us”. Jinnah always put a lot of faith in the youth and believed that they can conquer anything with their strength and consociation.

Today, on the day that the founder of our nation would have turned 142 years old, let’s vow to disregard provincialism, ethnicity and prejudice, never losing touch of Jinnah’s guiding principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline. Let’s pay a fervent tribute to Quaid-e-Azam by building Pakistan in line with his dreams and vision. Let’ fight with courage, anything that comes our way and stand against any and all enemies, hopeful and confident.
