Future World School Taekwondo Club: Launch Ceremony

In a world of competing and continuously changing priorities, taking care of children`s mental wellbeing as well as physical fitness is a necessity. The aim is not only the academic development of the students, it is to foster the holistic development of the child. It instills empathy, curiosity, better communication, and social skills which are required to strive for success in the 21st century.

Future World School Gulberg Greens Campus entered into another collaboration with the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) for the well-rounded development of our learners. The Future World School Taekwondo Club was launched on Monday, 8th March 2021 to give learners a platform to learn and play taekwondo on campus.

It is an amazing international sport that allows children to explore and develop lifelong skills. It helps in enhancing confidence, self–esteem, concentration, tolerance, leadership skills, and most importantly inculcate self-discipline. 

At the launch ceremony of the FWS Taekwondo Club, the professional fighters of the Taekwondo team demonstrated their martial arts and fighting skills to inspire and encourage students to participate in this sport.

‘Tae’ means to break or attack with the foot, ‘kwon’ means to break with the fist and ‘do’ means the art or way.

Through this collaboration, FWS GG and Pakistan Taekwondo Federation will be organizing different training sessions for our learners. The training sessions will be held by internationally qualified and reputable coach Ms. Najia Rasool, Amar Masood, and Shahzada Muhammad Asif, who have also been recognized many times as a National Champion.

The training sessions will be held thrice a week and after 5 Months the Federation will take the test and all those who will qualify will be registered and awarded with Poom/ Belt Certification from Kukkiwon (South Korea).

Moreover, all the qualified kids will be given an opportunity to take part in the National & International Taekwondo Championships.

We believe that this initiative will provide our learners another platform to enhance their skills through our beyond-the-classroom learning approach.
